city fabric breda
Cities as generators of patterns.

The street is a story teller: showing traces of use, giving hints of its functions, and revealing about its users. A carpet of gum showing the entrance to public buildings, brown plastic coffeecups marking the territory around office buildings and the sweet smell of energy drink mixed with pink pop-stickle sticks is marking the path to schools. These patterns can guide users through the streets, and form unique aesthetic graphics. Also theses patterns inform the city on the interaction of usage, and can be used as input for future developments.
